tonight I went to see the twelfth night
I have been to plenty of outdoor Shakespeare plays however I have to say the lord chamberlains men take on the twelfth night was superb! I loved the all male cast, they were dynamic, charming extremely funny without compromising the meaning or integrity.
If I was ever to host a special day in my lifetime, I would certainly hire the lord chamberlains men to do the twelfth night again.

camping trip with the girls and poppy poos
A real treat, which doesn't happen that often, the girlies got together and headed on a road trip to my favorite part of the lakes, Buttermere to celebrate my birthday. It was a fantastic 3 days, showing the sights to my best friends. Mrs B treated us to a fantastic feast of yummy haloumi skewers, fizz and nibbles and a scrummy carrot cake! I even managed to take the girls up to Haystacks summit and had a swig of Glayva as toast to wainwright. We then scooted back down to the bridge for a celebratory drink and a quick hop in the car to my favorite inn called the langstrath
a fantastic campsite near Seathwaite, £6 a night
breakfast bbq, veggie sausages
the best scrummy birthday cake

surprise long weekend away to Sardinia
My wonderful mrs b, treated me to the most amazing surprise by whirling me off to italy for a long weekend in the sun. I was such a lucky lady to have a amazing best friend like mrs b. The trip was fabulous, it really helped me to wake myself up and focus on me rather than whats been occupying my thoughts. It was a treat and a half not to worry about a thing and just be. I owe mrs b so much for helping me get my spark back, thank you for such a super duper birthday holiday! Love you more xx ...already missing beer o'clock!

last night i saw: ian parnell
After work I scooted up to Kendal to see ian parnell who was doing a talk called 'from the eiger to everest'. The last time I saw him was at the lowery with his joint talk with mr kenton cool, which was inspiring. This talk was a great insight into ian parnell's life, how he has become a well recognised alpinist, mountain photographer and filmmaker. His slides were fantastic showing his climbs and expeditions in the Himalaya, Alaska, Greenland, Patagonia and Kyrgyzstan. He made the first ascent of Arwa Spire in India and has climbed new routes on Annapurna III in Nepal and Saf Minal and Kedar Dome in India.
